Hello it is the Cowlitz River letting everyone know that I have alot of summer run steelhead in my system, and more coming in every day.
Just asked my good friend Dave Baugh from XLT GUIDE SERVICE. He should tell you this weekend was very good as he had a group of people fishing me on Saturday and they caught seven fish and seen alot more caught. Fishing is on the rise on the Cowlitz for summer run steelhead. I fished with a couple of friends on Sunday. We seen quite a few fish caught for the amount of people on the river. To me this is a great start for what should be a great summer run season.

Well its me again the Cowlitz river, as I mentioned earlier this year don't give up on me. Those of you that haven't are now receiving the rewards. This means springers and summer run steelhead. This weekend there were springers and summer run caught. I seen quite a few summer run darting through the shallows. Take lots of bait as it is smolt city. If you can get through them you have an good chance to hook a summer run. As we seen more fish hooked this weekend than we have in recent weeks.
